Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications and Epic experience.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) overflow unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Works three 12-hour shifts per week totaling 36 hours
• Requires working every other weekend

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum two years of acute inpatient RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for an assigned group of patients
• Provides patient and family education throughout the care and discharge process
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff while mentoring and precepting team members
• Participates in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance efforts
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family needs
