Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 2 years of acute PCU experience, Epic proficiency, and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a hospital environment
  • Night shift schedule, 6:45p-7:15a, working every other weekend
  • 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
  • Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

  • Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
  • No local rate drop for candidates residing in the area

Additional Information

  • Deliver safe, effective, patient and family-centered care with a focus on quality outcomes
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care using the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff, functioning as mentor/preceptor
  • Facilitate patient and family education specific to care needs, treatment, and discharge planning
  • Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives and comply with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and organizational needs
