Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state, in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; 2 years of PCU or acute care experience preferred
  • Experience with patient ratios of 3:1 preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Travel nursing experience required
  • BSN preferred
  • Ability to work night shifts and confirm schedule availability upfront
  • Must be willing to float within scope if needed
  • 2 professional references required

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care for patients in a progressive care / intermediate care setting
  • Care for liver transplant and hepatology patients before and after surgery
  • Monitor telemetry, vital signs, labs, and patient status closely to support timely interventions
  • Administer and manage treatments, medications, IV therapies, and complex patient care plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, coordinated, patient-centered care
  • Respond to changes in patient condition and support escalation of care when needed
  • Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic
  • Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach while supporting unit workflow and patient safety
