Job Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; travel nursing experience preferred, especially for candidates with less than 2 years of RN experience
• Previous experience in a Progressive Care Unit, PCU, step-down unit, or medical telemetry environment preferred
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced medical step-down setting
• Comfortable with night-shift scheduling and collaborative, team-based patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit / medical step-down unit
• Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments according to established plans of care
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
• Promote a safe, organized, and compassionate care environment for every patient
