Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in PCU, stepdown, telemetry, or a similar higher-acuity setting preferred
• Ability to care for orthopedic and neuro spine surgery patients
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program required
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
• Comfort with floating to related nursing units within the organization

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to mixed-acuity Progressive Care Unit patients
• Monitor and assess patients with orthopedic and neuro-surgical conditions
• Manage telemetry and support patients requiring close clinical observation
• Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols
• Perform common PCU clinical skills such as IV management, blood product administration, wound care, and respiratory support
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Document patient care accurately and maintain safe, effective clinical workflows
• Float to other inpatient units within the organization when needed
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and supportive healthcare environment
