Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• Must pass telemetry testing
• BLS and ACLS required
• Experience caring for telemetry patients preferred
• Strong skills in IV starts, medication administration, lab monitoring, and patient education
• Experience with EPIC EMR required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced PCU / step-down environment
• Two professional references required
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program preferred/required for compliance

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric PCU patients
• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage IV access, and support hemodynamic stability
• Perform routine nursing assessments and document accurately in EPIC
• Assist with post-surgical recovery, including bariatric and colorectal surgery patients
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient outcomes
• Participate in rapid response efforts when clinically indicated
• Maintain compliance with unit protocols, telemetry standards, and safety procedures
