Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Active compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC experience required
• Experience with neuro stepdown, stroke care, and progressive care patients strongly preferred
• Ability to care for adult patients with neurological diagnoses, including post-TPA and post-neurosurgical cases
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor
• Must be able to complete credentialing requirements promptly prior to start

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult patients in a Progressive Care Unit and stroke unit
• Monitor and manage patients with CVA, intracranial bleeds, craniotomy recovery, and other neurological conditions
• Administer treatments and medications including TNK and heparin protocols as directed
• Perform blood product administration, dysrhythmia interpretation, and peripheral line care
• Deliver safe, compassionate care while maintaining strong attention to detail in a high-acuity environment
• Collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
• Support infection prevention, isolation precautions, and general patient safety initiatives
• Float to other units within the organization as needed to support patient care
