Job Requirements

  • Active RN license
  • At least 1 year of recent nursing experience in a PCU, telemetry, or acute care setting
  • Stroke experience required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Experience with cardiac drips strongly preferred
  • Strong assessment skills and comfort caring for a 4:1 patient ratio
  • Ability to adapt to floating within demonstrated areas of competency

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to progressive care patients with neurological, stroke, and telemetry needs
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately to clinical concerns
  • Administer and titrate cardiac drips as ordered and within scope of practice
  • Support stroke patients through ongoing assessment, documentation, and coordination of care
  • Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Follow unit protocols, safety standards, and patient experience best practices
  • Contribute to a positive team culture while providing compassionate bedside care
