Join Our Exceptional PCU Team!** **Job Description:** - **Shifts:** Travel RN position in PCU, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM - **Unit Details:** - **Number of Beds:** - PCU 630: 34 beds - PCU 633: 25 beds - **Patient Ratios:** - Days: 1:4 to 1:5 - Nights: 1:5 to 1:6 - **Staffing:** - 3 techs when PCU 630 is full - 2 techs when PCU 633 is full - **Equipment:** - Bipaps, high flow O2, vapotherm, Alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis, wound vacs (in conjunction with wound care) - **Documentation System:** Meditech - **Scheduling Requirements:** Every other weekend requirement for contract, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week - **Floating Policy:** May float between PCU units or to med-surg floors - **Patient Experience:** - Hourly rounding on days - Every 2-hour rounding on nights - Utilize AIDET and maintain communication boards on the 7th floor - Dept 633 equipped with TV communication boards - **Required Skills:** - Critical thinking skills - EKG rhythm interpretation - Cardiac drip, insulin drip, and heparin drip experience - Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred - Peripheral IV skills - **Advanced Skills:** - ACLS certification required - Experience with bipaps and multiple oxygen delivery systems - Stroke and post-cardiac cath care experience - Tube feeding and NG/dobhoff tube expertise - **Procedures Performed:** - Peritoneal dialysis - Thoracentesis - Paracentesis - Chest tube insertions - Dobhoff/NG tube insertions - Central line dressing changes - Troubleshooting wound vacs - **Dress Code:** - Black scrubs required - **Why Choose Us?** - Self-scheduling for optimal work-life balance - 4-week schedules with required every other weekend work - Dedicated techs to assist in patient care - Most travelers extend after their first assignment - Team-oriented environment with a caring, family-like culture **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
