Travel RN Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 27, 2026
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other third weekend
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Unit Profile: Progressive care/intermediate care unit with approximately 30 beds and a daily census of approximately 28
- Floating: May float to medical-surgical and telemetry areas
- Documentation: Cerner
PCU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent PCU, IMC, stepdown, or closely related nursing experience
- At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment
- Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- CPI certification preferred
- Strong experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown care, high-flow nasal cannula, isolation precautions, wound care, and wound vacs
- Successful completion of an EKG rhythm interpretation assessment with a minimum overall score of 80% and a 100% score on lethal rhythms
- Ability to meet required clinical compliance, orientation, and pre-start education requirements
- Flu vaccination is required
Progressive Care RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring progressive or intermediate care
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, identify changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate interventions
- Manage patients requiring telemetry, high-flow nasal cannula, oxygen therapy, isolation precautions, and complex medical-surgical care
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications and treatments safely while maintaining accurate clinical documentation in Cerner
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and support services, including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, IV teams, and rapid response teams
- Provide wound care and wound vac management as indicated
- Float to medical-surgical and telemetry assignments while maintaining safe, high-quality patient care
- Support a collaborative environment focused on patient safety, clinical excellence, and positive outcomes
