• Number of Staff: 95
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 at grid, 5:1 stretched
• Equipment: IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pump, Chest tubes, Trachs, Patient lifts
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Cerner

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Must-Have Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred Experience: Neuro and Trauma Care experience

Typical Procedures

Registered Nurses in this unit are expected to perform various procedures, including:

• Neuro and spinal checks
• C-Collar placement and TLSO braces
• Chest tube insertion, PCA pump management, and IV infusions
• Lumber drain procedures
• Feeding tube placement
• Blood transfusions
