Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior PCU or ICU experience.

Details

• Work in the 6 West Renal Care Unit, a Progressive Care setting within a hospital
• 18-bed unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Uses Meditech for documentation
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Floating required as needed
• Weekend and call requirements to be discussed during interview

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• BSN preferred; graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or ICU experience required, with 2+ years preferred
• NIH Stroke Certification required for PCU staff
• Must provide US SSN and DOB for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include hourly safety rounding, bedside shift report, and sit-to-commit rounding practices
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• Scrub attire required per unit dress code, with clean natural nails and neatly groomed hair
• Visible piercings other than earrings are not permitted, and tattoos should be covered when feasible
