Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring charge experience and NIH Stroke Certification on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Neuro PCU with 19 beds
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge, 5 nurses, 2 PCTs, and 1 HUC
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge, 5 nurses, and 2 PCTs
• Patient ratios of 4-5:1
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule 7P-7A
• Rotating weekends required
• Floating required to all PCU and Med/Surg units

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• 1 year of recent PCU experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Neuro competency preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide progressive care nursing to neuro patient population
• Royal blue scrubs required for nurses, maroon for PCTs
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• No local candidates accepted under any circumstances
