Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred
• Prior experience in a Progressive Care Unit, step-down unit, or similar acute care setting
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
• Flexibility and reliability for scheduled day shifts

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care to individuals requiring progressive or intermediate-level monitoring
• Assess patient conditions, monitor changes, and escalate concerns appropriately to the care team
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to the plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Document assessments, care provided, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
• Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive care environment for patients and families
