  • Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
  • Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Schedule: Every other weekend, no call, with holiday coverage as needed
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
  • Unit Focus: Clinical decision/direct admit workflow, ED decompression, and enhanced throughput

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • 2 years of recent MedSurg, Telemetry, or Step-Down experience preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
  • Strong teamwork skills and a positive, patient-first attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, quick-turnover acute care environment
  • Comfortable floating within skill set as needed
  • Charge nurse experience or willingness to consider charge responsibilities is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Receive admitted patients from the ED and support efficient patient throughput
  • Complete admission assessments, medication reconciliation, and initiate acute care orders
  • Provide high-quality care for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses
  • Monitor and manage step-down and progressive care patients in a collaborative environment
  • Float to other units within skill set when needed
  • Use Cerner documentation and Baxter IV pumps in daily workflow
  • Support patient safety, communication, and a smooth care experience for patients and families
