  • Float Areas: PCU, MS/Tele, and Med Surg

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
  • Compact RN license required at submission
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; 3 years preferred for this travel RN assignment
  • Charge nurse experience required
  • US clinical experience required
  • Experience with Epic charting required
  • ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Experience caring for PCU, telemetry, Med Surg, and stepdown patients
  • Comfort working with patient ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on acuity
  • Must be flexible to float as needed within the facility

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality bedside nursing care for progressive care, telemetry, and stepdown patients
  • Monitor and respond to changing patient conditions in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment
  • Administer and manage complex therapies such as telemetry monitoring, IV drips, oxygen support, and cardiac care
  • Support safe patient flow by floating to appropriate units based on staffing and patient needs
  • Perform charge nurse duties when assigned, including coordination of staffing, bed flow, and patient care priorities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote effective patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow facility standards of care
  • Contribute to a team-oriented environment while adapting to varied clinical needs across the hospital
