Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit Float Pool position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar-sized facility and proficiency with cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring.

Details

  • Float Pool position covering all PCU/IMCU floors within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
  • Cardiac patient population including STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain cases
  • Manages cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors
  • May be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit for lower-acuity patients
  • Patient ratio of 1:3–4
  • 12-hour night shifts
  • Epic EMR in use
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
  • Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

  • Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a similarly sized, high-volume facility
  • Experience in high-acuity, large-scale trauma or high-volume hospital environments required
  • Background managing critical, fast-paced and diverse patient cases required
  • Epic EMR experience

  • This is a float position — candidates must be comfortable rotating across all PCU/IMCU floors
  • The facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and high-volume cases; candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
