Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit Float Pool position at a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma center requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar-sized facility and cardiac care expertise.

Details

  • Float Pool position covering all PCU/IMCU floors with a cardiac patient population
  • Patients include STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain cases
  • Cardiac drip experience required, including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors
  • May also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit for lower-acuity patients
  • Patient ratio of 1:3-4
  • 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
  • Epic EMR is used
  • Block scheduling is generally not approved
  • Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a similarly sized, high-volume facility
  • Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced trauma environments with complex and diverse cases required
  • Epic EMR experience

Additional Information

  • This is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center with a large volume of complex and severe cases
  • Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
  • Local candidates are accepted for this position
  • Minimal RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this assignment
