Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift palliative care position requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and current Epic experience.

Details

• MS/Tele unit within a cancer hospital setting focused on palliative care
• Provides symptom management for patients still under active treatment, including pain, nausea/vomiting, fatigue, and failure to thrive
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• May be scheduled under a rotating D/N contract with shift assignments reviewed every 4-week period
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Cares for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and IV therapy/phlebotomy

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care RN experience required in the specialty being applied for, with consistent work in the last 12 months
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor-level leader; second reference may be from a Charge RN; coworker references not accepted

• RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
