PACU Travel Nurse RN – 13-Week Assignment in Everett, Washington

As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will support patients recovering from a broad range of surgical and interventional procedures while enjoying access to waterfront attractions, outdoor recreation, and the Cascade foothills.
PACU Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990–$2,090
- Location: Everett, Washington

- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Shift: Day shifts, 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Shift Duration: 10 hours
- Shifts per Week: 4
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekend Coverage: Approximately once every 3 to 4 weeks
- Call: One primary call shift and one secondary call shift during each four-week schedule period
- Patient Assignment: Approximately 2 patients per nurse
- Unit: 29 PACU bays across two floors, supporting approximately 70 operating room, interventional radiology, and cardiovascular lab cases per day
- Charting: Epic
- Floating: May be required between nearby sister facilities
PACU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or a compact license in hand, as applicable
- At least 1 year of recent PACU or post-anesthesia nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- PALS certification preferred
- Previous experience with Epic charting required
- Experience caring for pediatric patients age 1 and older, adults, and geriatric patients
- Level II trauma experience preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge of airway management, dysrhythmia recognition, arterial lines, ventilated patients, IV vasopressors, nerve blocks, spinal and epidural recovery, and medication reversal protocols
- Ability to participate in weekend, call, holiday, and floating requirements as scheduled
- Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years
PACU Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide Phase I PACU care to patients recovering from anesthesia or spinal anesthesia
- Perform comprehensive post-anesthesia assessments and monitor airway, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurologic, and pain status
- Care for patients recovering from vascular, general, robotic, orthopedic, pediatric, urologic, gynecologic, neurologic, thoracic, cardiovascular, trauma, gastrointestinal, bariatric, ENT, oral, plastic, and ophthalmic procedures
- Manage patients requiring airway support, oral or nasal airways, ventilator care, arterial line monitoring, emergency medications, and IV vasopressors
- Monitor and treat postoperative pain, nausea, dysrhythmias, and other post-anesthesia complications
- Support complex cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures, including TAVR, Watchman, and EP cases requiring anesthesia
- Provide preoperative support for ICU patients when needed
- Recognize changes in patient condition and collaborate with anesthesia, surgical, respiratory, and interdisciplinary teams
- Safely transfer patients to inpatient units, procedural areas, or discharge while providing thorough handoff communication
- Follow ASPAN standards and maintain accurate documentation in Epic
