Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PACU/Preop position requiring 2 years of PACU experience and NM or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Acute care facility setting on the 3rd floor Operating Room department
• Shared PACU and Preop unit with 3 beds
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Primarily adult patient population with ENT cases approximately once a month
• Common diagnoses/treatments include appendectomy and gallbladder procedures
• Uses CQI and Medhost EHR systems
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• On-call coverage required for some nights and weekends with a 30-minute response time once notified of a case
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No float requirements outside of the shared PACU/Preop position

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Preop experience preferred in addition to PACU experience
• RN degree required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide perianesthesia nursing care in a shared PACU and Preop role
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Open-toed shoes and fake fingernails are not permitted
