Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU/Preop position requiring prior PACU experience and availability for on-call coverage.

Details

• 47-bed acute care hospital setting on the 3rd floor
• Shared PACU/Preop position with no expectation to float elsewhere
• 3-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Primarily adult patient population with occasional ENT cases monthly
• Common diagnoses/treatments include appendectomy and gallbladder cases
• Day shift schedule (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) with some call on nights and weekends
• Call requirement: must arrive within 30 minutes of case notification
• Uses CQI and Medhost EHR systems
• Every other weekend requirement

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) for New Mexico
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior PACU experience required
• Preop and PACU experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration
• Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a PACU/Preop setting
• Supervised by the unit's clinical leadership
• Open-toed shoes and fake fingernails are not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
