Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PACU/Pre-Post Op position requiring 2 years of acute care RN experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Surgical Services Pre/Post Op unit
• Day shift, 6:00am-3:30pm
• 36 hours per week, 9-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
• Pre/Post op experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Additional Information

• Provides comprehensive pre and post-operative nursing care to surgical patients
• Performs patient assessments and reassessments, develops and implements plans of care
• Coordinates patient and family education related to treatment and discharge
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and functions as a mentor/preceptor
• Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
