Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU/Pre-Post Op position requiring 2 years of acute care experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Work in the Surgical Services Pre-Op/PACU department of a hospital setting
• Pre and post-operative patient care
• Day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• 36 hours per week across 3 shifts
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
• Pre/Post-op nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Additional Information

• Provide pre and post-operative nursing care within a surgical services unit
• Perform patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Coordinate patient and family education related to care, treatment, and discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff while serving as a mentor and preceptor
• Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
