Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient position at a Critical Access Hospital, open to candidates with at least 1 year of experience, including first-time travelers.
Details
- Critical Access Hospital setting with outpatient, inpatient, and home visit responsibilities, including a swing bed program in a rural community
- Three outpatient PT clinics with additional inpatient coverage needs
- PT role primarily focused in one area (outpatient or inpatient) but requires flexibility to cover other areas as needed
- Shift options include 4x10 hour or 5x8 hour schedules, with weekly hours ranging from 34-40 depending on census or caseload
- Weekend coverage required every third weekend
- No on-call requirements
- No floating to sister facilities required
- Epic charting system preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist required
- New graduates may be considered
- BLS certification required
- MT state license required if applicable
- Experience with documentation, assessment, pain assessment, and patient/family education
- Strong professional skills and clinical knowledge required

- Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore independence
- Collaborates with providers and care teams across acute, outpatient, and long-term care settings
- Offers broad clinical exposure across multiple care settings not typically found in larger specialized systems
- Located in a small-town community with close patient relationships and scenic Western Montana surroundings
- Close proximity to outdoor recreation including skiing, fishing, and Glacier National Park
- First-time travelers accepted with at least 1 year of experience
