Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a MA license for a Level I Trauma surgical program requiring neuro, ortho trauma, and kidney transplant experience.

Details

  • Level I Trauma OR unit with 10 operating rooms, primarily based on the West Main campus with possible floating to East or CVI OR
  • Cares for patients undergoing bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney/liver transplant procedures
  • 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
  • No on-call responsibilities, but holiday and weekend rotation may be required
  • Weekly orientation held every Monday (barring a holiday)

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required in hand
  • Experience in neuro, ortho trauma, and kidney transplant surgical cases required
  • Skilled in scrubbing and/or circulating for general surgery, robotics, transplants, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT (primarily head & neck), GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma cases
  • Flu vaccination documentation required during flu season
  • COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)

Additional Information

  • Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of complex surgical specialties within a high-acuity trauma program
  • Floating not required but may occur between West Main, East, and CVI OR locations
  • Holiday coverage required for any holiday occurring during the contract
  • All RTO requests must be approved and submitted in advance
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates will not be accepted
  • Previous BIDMC or Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a six-month separation from any BILH facility before being considered
