Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Fortuna, CA 95540

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Fortuna, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:30). On-call required 2 days per week, including holidays and weekends. Three 24-hour on-call weekend shifts per month. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at a rural community hospital with 3 operating rooms
• Dual-role position requiring both circulating and recovery nursing skills in a general surgery setting
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and unit secretaries
• Work with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 40 hours of paid orientation to support your transition
• Enhanced winter rate period from October 2026 through February 2027

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Endoscopy experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Experience with general OR procedures including ambulatory surgery, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, colonoscopy, EGD, and PACU/recovery
• Pediatric general OR and VATS experience preferred
• Clean background check required (no exceptions for background findings)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
