Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 24 months of OR experience and proficiency in DaVinci robotics and vascular cases.

Details

• Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
• 141:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Call requirements include 1 night per week and up to 1 weekend per month
• Robotics equipment used includes DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active IA state RN license or compact/multistate license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum of 24 months of current Operating Room nursing experience required
• Proficient experience in DaVinci robotics required
• Proficient experience in vascular cases required, including TCAR, TAVR, bypass, endarterectomy, embolectomy, and AV fistula procedures
• Proficient experience in general surgery required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Spine surgery experience preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
• Travel experience within the previous 15 months required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Skills checklist specific to Operating Room nursing required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room across general surgery, vascular, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Holiday coverage required, working 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments in other UPH markets within 12 months of separation
