Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Santa Rosa, CA 95405

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15). Variable start times may include 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Weekend coverage required. On-call duties distributed equally among nursing staff every 6 weeks, potentially 6-8 shifts per 6-week period including nights, evenings, and weekends (8-hour shifts). May need to cover one additional night shift within contract as needed.

Highlights:

  • Travel assignment at a 277-bed acute care hospital with Level I Trauma designation
  • 91-day contract with comprehensive orientation (40 hours)
  • Experience a diverse surgical caseload including trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general surgery, GU, and GYN procedures
  • Work with advanced technology including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and Epic charting
  • Free parking and comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
  • Opportunity to work with all patient age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics with approximately 25 cases daily

Requirements:

  • Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
  • Level I Trauma experience required; must have experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic procedures
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Extensive OR skills including but not limited to: total joint replacements, spinal fusions, craniotomy, vascular procedures, robotic surgery, laparoscopic procedures, and trauma cases
  • Willingness to float to sister facilities as needed
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
