Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with 2+ years of experience and required ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts (6:45 AM - 5:15 PM)
• Call and late call requirements, estimated at 5-6 shifts per month depending on staffing
• Exposure to a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecology, trauma, orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopic procedures, podiatry, urology, robotics, bariatrics, and thoracic surgery
• Utilizes robotic surgical systems including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
• Meditech charting experience highly preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Experience with thoracic procedures such as lobe resection, lung resection, mediastinoscopy, thoracotomy, and VATS preferred
• Experience with orthopedic procedures such as ACL reconstruction and carpal tunnel release preferred
• Experience with endoscopic procedures such as bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD preferred

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties
• Holiday coverage is required with minimal to no holiday RTO
• Local candidates and first-time travelers are accepted at the same rate
• Travel pairs are accepted
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before being considered for a travel assignment
