Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring circulate, PACU, and C-section experience.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care hospital with 104 staffed beds
• 4x10 day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities include a minimum of one weekend per month (Friday 4:30 PM through Monday 6:00 AM) and one weekday per week
• Float within scope of practice to task only, not to a full assignment, based on facility census and staffing needs
• Uses Meditech charting system
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• No parking cost

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (NIHSS preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Circulate and PACU experience required
• C-section experience required
• Familiarity with orthopedic procedures required
• Community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and PACU duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, ENT, and neurology
• Experience with specialty equipment such as electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana Table, and Steris systems is valued
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Former employees must be separated from the facility for three years before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted, with holiday RTO requests requiring willingness to work one of three major holidays
• Required state license must be obtained before the start date, and certifications may be pending at submission but must be completed prior to start
