Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a cancer hospital setting requiring 2+ years of OR experience, CNOR preferred, and OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room setting within a cancer hospital and research facility
• Day/evening rotating schedule combining 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts to total 40 hours/week
• Shift options include 06:30-17:00, 06:30-19:00, and 10:30-20:30
• Call required as needed, including evening, night, and weekend call blocks
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Preferred experience in neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general surgery, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, and robotics (Da Vinci)
• Oncology experience preferred
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Oncology experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Circulate and scrub experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor and the second acceptable from a Charge RN; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced surgical oncology environment
• Assist with circulating and scrubbing duties as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements urgently upon signing contract
• Candidates within driving distance of Ohio may be required to travel to a fingerprinting location; those farther away will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignments after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this health system
• RTO must be requested at time of submission and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
