Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a cancer hospital setting requiring at least 2 years of OR experience with oncology background and OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit at a cancer hospital and research facility
• Day/evening rotating schedule combining 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts to total 40 hours/week
• Monday to Friday shift options: 06:30-17:00, 6:30-19:00, or 10:30-20:30
• Call responsibilities as needed, including evening (1500-2300), night (2300-0700), and weekend (0700-1900, 1900-0700) shifts
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Preferred experience across multiple surgical specialties including neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, and robotics (Da Vinci)
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Oncology experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
• Circulate and scrub experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a day/evening rotating schedule
• Assist with circulating and scrubbing duties as needed across a variety of surgical specialties
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Prior travel experience required
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6+ months away from the facility
• Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible for traveler positions
• RTO must be requested at time of submission and built into contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
