Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN requiring 4 years of OR experience with Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedic case exposure.
Details
- Operating Room unit with service lines including Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
- Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 10:30 to 21:00
- Variable weekend and call requirements to be discussed during interview
- Floating required within facility and scope of practice, including to Outpatient as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 4 years of Operating Room experience required prior to travel
- Required experience in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedic surgical cases
- Specific skills required include ALIF, Craniotomy, Kyphoplasty, Laminectomy/Discectomy, Lumbar Fusion, XLIF, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon Resection, Hernia Repair, Thyroidectomy, Whipple, Arthroscopy, Closed and Open Reduction of Fractures, Total Joint Replacement, Abdominal/Vaginal Hysterectomy, Colporrhaphy, Bilateral Tubal Ligation, Dilation & Curettage, and Laparoscopic Gynecological Procedures
- Transplant experience required including Intestinal, Kidney, Liver, Organ Donation, and Pancreas cases
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Previous travel experience required
- Two supervisory references (Manager or above) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and scrub RN duties across a wide range of surgical specialties
- Sensitive unit requiring careful review of all unit and job details prior to consideration
- No holiday RTO approved, with blackout dates of 11/23-11/29 and 12/21-1/3
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized at time of submission with no changes after offer or onsite
- No RTO permitted during orientation week
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
- Previous Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must be separated for one full year before applying as a traveler
- Travelers previously cancelled or DNR'd by Piedmont must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
- Shift and contract length are firm with no alternate schedule requests permitted
- Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
