Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Oncology Clinic nurse for a day-shift assignment requiring 1 year of oncology experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Outpatient oncology clinic setting
• Adult patient population
• Daily census of 80-100 patients across 16 rooms
• Treats diagnoses including leukemias (CLL, CML, ALL, AML), lymphomas (Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's), MDS, hemoglobinopathies, myeloproliferative disease, thrombotic disorders, and aplastic anemia
• Uses EPIC documentation system
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Floating required

Requirements

• Active OH state or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and OCN certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager or director-level leader and the second from a manager or charge RN
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after signing contract

Additional Information

• Provide oncology nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible to be hired as a traveler
• RTO must be requested and built into the contract at time of consideration
