Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Oncology Clinic position requiring 2+ years of oncology experience and OH or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Outpatient oncology clinic setting with 11 rooms
• Adult and geriatric oncology patients currently receiving treatment who require symptom management
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No call requirements
• Floating required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required; ONS and OCN certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of oncology clinic experience required
• Acute care experience must be current and within the specialty applied for, consistently within the last 12 months
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Provide symptom management and psychosocial care for oncology patients across a range of diagnoses including breast, lung, colorectal, blood, and other cancers
• Skills include care coordination, wound care, neutropenic precautions, colostomy/ileostomy care, and medication administration such as antiemetics
• Experience with hospice care, advanced directives, and patient/family education preferred
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former employees eligible after 6+ months away from the facility
• Current employees of the health system are ineligible for travel assignments at any of its hospital locations
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
• RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
