Job Description:
Position: Surgical Technologist
Location: Bethesda, Maryland
Setting: Operating Room
Duration: 14 weeks
Schedule:
- 7:00am-7:30pm
- Monday-Friday
- Rotating day off, no set schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Call required 3-4 times during an 8-week period
- Call may include nights, weekends, and holidays
Overview:
- Assist surgeons during a variety of operating room procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields and equipment
- Handle surgical instruments and supplies during procedures
- Assist with patient positioning and operating room setup
- Support surgical cases involving Total Joints, Orthopedic Spine, Neurosurgery, ENT, Ophthalmology (Vitrectomy), and Robotics
- Work in a high-volume operating room environment
- Utilize EPIC EMR as a scrub role
Additional Details:

- Feedback typically within 48 hours to 7 business days
- Facility requires pre-start learning modules (approximately 4-6 hours)
- Start dates must be at least 3 weeks from submission
- No guaranteed hours; facility may cancel based on census and operational needs
Requirements:
- CPR certification required
- Must have completed a Surgical Technology program
- Surgical Technologist certification is not required
- Current operating room experience required
- Experience with Total Joints required
- Experience with Orthopedic Spine required
- Experience with Neurosurgery required
- Experience with ENT required
- Experience with Ophthalmology/Vitrectomy required
- Robotics experience required
- EPIC experience preferred
