    Key Responsibilities
    • Assess patients' level of functioning upon physician orders and plan and implement appropriate OT treatment based on evaluation results and patient and family goals.
    • Participate in the interdisciplinary team process, including team conferences, and collaborate with other team members to provide optimal patient care.
    • Complete all required documentation including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge documentation according to department policy and within defined timeframes.
    • Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement coordination, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
    • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and OT/COTA students in the application of occupational therapy theory and techniques, and assist with new staff orientation.
    • Promote patient and employee safety across key areas including safe patient handling, infection control, materials handling, and slip/trip/fall prevention.
    Required Qualifications
    • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Ohio.
    • Ability to assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and administer appropriate evaluation procedures.
    • Demonstrated ability to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students competently.
    • Strong documentation skills with the ability to complete required records accurately and within defined timeframes.
    • Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and confidentiality requirements.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team setting.
    • Familiarity with discharge planning processes including equipment recommendation, caregiver training, and placement coordination.
    • Experience with continuous quality improvement initiatives and documentation of quality assurance activities.
