Travel Nursing Job Details

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of current or recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown Registered Nurse experience
• Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry; competency will be evaluated on the first day
• Current, independent proficiency with Epic EMR
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to float between medical-surgical units and adapt to changing patient needs

Med/Surg Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and respiratory patients during overnight shifts
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and communicate concerns promptly
• Complete patient assessments, administer medications, perform treatments, and document care accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing colleagues, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Support patients with a variety of diagnoses, including respiratory, cardiac, oncology, stroke, wound care, and observation needs
• Float between designated units as needed while maintaining safe, high-quality patient care
• Educate patients and families and contribute to a positive, compassionate care experience
