Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Telemetry (Tele) – Nights
Location
Tucson, AZ | Acute Care / Step-Down (Float Pool – Multiple Facilities)
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Expected 36 hours/week | Work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care in a PCU/Telemetry step-down environment
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures; perform various patient tests and administer medications within the registered nurse scope of practice
- Manage patients requiring cardiac drips and demonstrate familiarity with procedures such as TAVRs and Watchman mitral clips
- Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills
- Float between multiple facilities as part of a Float Pool assignment, adapting to varying unit needs and patient populations
- Document all care accurately using Cerner EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN License required
- BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/Telemetry or Step-Down RN experience
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Must be willing and able to float between multiple facilities as part of a Float Pool position
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience managing patients at a step-down (sub-ICU) acuity level, including cardiac drip management
- Familiarity with TAVR and Watchman mitral clip patient populations
