Registered Nurse – Med Surg / Telemetry Short Stay (4x12 Nights)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 4x12-hour shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Perform direct patient care activities for adult patients across a mixed Medical/Surgical and Telemetry unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Maintain patient ratios of approximately 4–6:1 in a 50% Medical / 50% Telemetry environment
- Float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit
- Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC EMR
- Adhere to all facility dress code standards; required scrub color is black
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold a Missouri RN license
- BLS certification from AHA only
- ACLS certification from AHA only
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of Telemetry nursing experience
- Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required for assignments running November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted
- Must be available the entire first week for orientation, which takes place on day shift
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Background working with a mixed Medical/Surgical and Telemetry adult patient population
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented, patient-centered approach
