Registered Nurse – Med Surg / Telemetry (4x12 Nights)

Contract | 13 weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 4x12-hour shifts | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
• Care for a mixed adult patient population — approximately 50% Medical and 50% Telemetry patients
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
• Float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit
• Function within the scope of nursing practice consistent with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and established nursing guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or hold an active Missouri RN license
• BLS certification from AHA only
• ACLS certification from AHA only
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of Telemetry nursing experience
• Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required for assignments running November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Must be available the entire first week for orientation (night shift orients on day shift)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Familiarity with standard Telemetry unit equipment
• Strong communication skills with a team-oriented, patient-outcome-focused approach
