    Job Title

    Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry (Nights)

    Location

    Saint Louis, MO | Inpatient Telemetry Unit

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:30) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Every other weekend required | No on-call requirements

    Key Responsibilities
    • Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups
    • Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
    • Manage a patient population including CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias (AFib, flutter, SVT), respiratory, renal, and hemodialysis patients, as well as overflow patients such as sepsis, GI bleeds, and ETOH/drug withdrawal
    • Administer and monitor cardiac drips including Amiodarone and Cardizem; manage central lines including HD catheters, Ports, and PICCs
    • Float to a similar or lower acuity unit as needed
    • Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and professional accountability in all aspects of care delivery
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri RN licensure
    • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
    • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
    • Minimum 1 year of inpatient Telemetry or Cardiac Telemetry experience
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry rhythms
    • Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required for assignments running November 1 through April 1 (declinations are not accepted)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation
    • Familiarity with dopamine, dobutamine, lidocaine, nitroglycerin, and milrinone drips
    • Experience managing chest tubes and other wound drains
    • Experience with CIWA (alcohol/drug withdrawal) protocol
