    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

    Location

    Reno, NV | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | 3x12-Hour Shifts, Days | Expected 36 Hours/Week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients — including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation — within a fast-paced telemetry unit
    • Manage a patient population that includes CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients (pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and patients downgraded from ICU)
    • Administer and monitor non-titratable cardiac medication drips (e.g., Cardizem, Lasix, Nitroglycerin)
    • Identify and measure rhythm strips as part of ongoing telemetry monitoring; candidates must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to assignment
    • Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative, patient-centered environment
    • Float as needed to ICUs (for telemetry/medically appropriate assignments), medical-surgical units, and other areas within the organization up to competency level
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Nevada RN license required prior to start
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NIHSS certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience
    • Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identification and measurement of rhythm strips — failure of the exam may result in contract termination
    • Prior travel nursing experience of at least one 13-week assignment required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care or Level II (or higher) Trauma Center environment
    • Familiarity with post-procedure cardiac patient care, including pacemakers, ablations, and cath lab patients
    • Comfort working flexible schedules that may include weekends, holidays, and occasional additional shifts
