    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Telemetry

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Weekends and Holidays Expected

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical Telemetry floors as part of a float pool, rotating across all MS Tele units as needed
    • Float to like units and overflow areas as required
    • Monitor and interpret telemetry and ECG readings in accordance with unit protocols
    • Administer and manage medications in compliance with facility standards
    • Complete and pass a Dysrhythmia and Medication competency exam prior to assignment start (one attempt only; 85% passing score required)
    • Apply knowledge of critical paths and contribute to coordinated patient care planning
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
    • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry experience
    • Current AHA BLS Certification required
    • Current AHA ACLS Certification required
    • Must pass Telemetry Competency Exam prior to assignment (one attempt only; no remediation or re-sit opportunity)
    • Candidates who have worked at this facility as travel, permanent, or per diem staff within the last six months are not eligible; a minimum six-month separation is required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Charge Nurse experience preferred
    • Documented professional development activities
    • Familiarity with critical pathways in a Med Surg Telemetry setting
