Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Weekends and holidays expected | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical Telemetry floors as part of a float pool, rotating to all MS Tele units as needed
- Float to like units and overflow areas as assigned
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and ECG readings for assigned patients
- Administer and manage medications in accordance with facility protocols
- Apply knowledge of critical paths in the delivery of patient care
- Must pass a Dysrhythmia and Medication competency exam (85% passing score, one attempt only) prior to assignment start
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry experience
- Current AHA BLS Certification required
- Current AHA ACLS Certification required
- Must successfully pass Telemetry Competency Exam prior to assignment (85% minimum, one attempt only)
- Candidates who have worked at this facility as travel, permanent, or per diem within the last six months are not eligible — a minimum six-month separation is required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Documented professional development activities
- Familiarity with critical path methodology in a hospital setting
