Travel RN – Telemetry (Night Shift)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis | Projected Start: July 20, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for up to 6 telemetry patients, including post-cardiac procedure patients (PCI, PPM, ICD, and Ablations)
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips and managing cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Dobutamine)
- Perform and maintain Foley catheter care in accordance with nurse-driven removal protocols, administer respiratory treatments (inhalers and nebulizers), and perform phlebotomy as needed
- Conduct bedside shift report handoffs utilizing AIDET communication standards and participate in RN/MD rounding
- Develop and maintain individualized plans of care each shift, collaborating with physicians and ancillary departments on discharge planning and patient education
- Float as needed, including to the emergency department for inpatient holds, telemetry monitoring room, or PCU per facility floating policy
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in South Carolina (or compact eligibility)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Minimum of 30 months of RN or LPN nursing experience
- At least one previous completed travel nursing assignment
- Proficiency with Meditech documentation system preferred; experience with Alaris IV pumps and mobile workstation environments
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for post-cath lab and telemetry patients in an acute care setting
- Familiarity with i-mobile phone communication systems and mobile lab (mobilab) equipment
- Strong time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage complex cardiac patient populations
- Experience with cardiac drip management and respiratory treatment administration outside of an ICU setting
