    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Travel)

    Location

    North Charleston, SC | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care for up to 6 telemetry patients, including those post-cardiac procedures such as PCI, PPM, ICD, and ablations
    • Proficiently read and interpret telemetry strips and monitor patients in the telemetry monitoring room as needed
    • Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, and Dobutamine
    • Administer respiratory treatments (inhalers and nebulizers) and perform phlebotomy and Foley catheter care and maintenance per nurse-driven protocols
    • Conduct bedside shift report handoffs, AIDET communication, and RN/MD rounding; develop plans of care each shift and coordinate discharge planning and patient education
    • Collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments; float as needed, including to the emergency department for inpatient holds or to the PCU
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in good standing
    • BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
    • Minimum of 30 months of RN or LPN nursing experience
    • At least one previous successful travel nursing assignment
    • Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and post-cath lab patient care
    • Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred; familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and mobile workstation technology a plus
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience caring for post-cardiac procedure patients including PCI, PPM, ICD, and ablation patients
    • Background in PCU or step-down level care
    • Strong time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage complex patient assignments
    • Familiarity with nurse-driven protocols, particularly for Foley catheter removal
