Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Overtime may be available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
- Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, high-quality patient care
- Recognize and respond to neurological changes using NIHSS assessment protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
- BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Must reside at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience (at least 1 previous assignment)
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
- Familiarity with NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) assessments
