Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (1900–0730) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 25-bed telemetry unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation, including dysrhythmia recognition
- Administer and manage common medications including IVF, metoprolol, hydralazine, heparin, insulin, and related cardiac and anticoagulation therapies
- Operate common unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps, bladder scanners, and glucometers
- Float to units of the same level of care as needed
- Complete required dysrhythmia and basic math competency assessments during onboarding prior to start
Required Qualifications
- Active North Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license
- BLS certification required
- Demonstrated telemetry interpretation skills
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
- Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Experience in an ED Holding Unit setting
